Though he was born in Munich, Sebastian Schnitzenbaumer aka BELP partially grew up on the Seychelles Islands off the coast of East Africa. He was educated in classical piano but his musical development owes equally as much to African and European influences. BELP is now part of a small alternative scene where he makes dark, broken beat oriented works that question his present hometown Munich’s “predominantly rich and posh surface”.
